Auto Münsterhof - Vernissage

​Curious about how art and robotics intersect? Whether you're an AI enthusiast, artist, technologist, or simply intrigued by the future of human-machine collaboration, this is for you.

​The American artist Lauren Lee McCarthy will realize a new work for Münsterhof in October 2025, addressing the timely topic of autonomous driving. McCarthy, whose artistic practice explores social relationships within the dynamics of automation, surveillance, and an algorithmically shaped everyday life, is developing a piece titled “Auto Münsterhof” that combines installation and performance, actively involving the public in the artistic process.

​To realize the project, the Public Art Commission (KiöR) of the City of Zurich has invited HEK (House of Electronic Arts)in Basel to curate this year’s Münsterhof project – with a particular focus on the digital infrastructures of public space.
