About Event

Join us for Part 2 of our Visa Options for Immigrant Founders Series as we dive into the specifics of 0-1 and EB-1 with Jonathan Grode, immigration practice director at Greene & Spiegel.

We have chosen to focus on the O-1/EB-1 visa in part because of its higher rate of success and applicability for founders or soon-to-be founders. The so-called, 'Genius visa' is much more attainable than it appears, but it requires being smart about how you position yourself.

This in depth session will explore each of the criteria for the two extraordinary ability categories – O-1 for nonimmigrants and EB-1 for immigrants. By attending this session you will gain skills and insight on how to strengthen your profile to make these lofty visas classifications a reality.

With him we'll cover things like:

  • A recap of visa options for immigrant founders

  • The +/- of each type of the O1 and EB-1 visas

  • The tactical "how to" for both of these visa types

  • Next steps and where to take it from here

Structure & Logistics:

As a reminder, we start AT 5:00pm. Please make arrangements to be ready to start then.

The format of this event will be a 45 min presentation followed by a 45 min Q&A session. It is designed to be informative but also informal so bring your questions!

Who should attend:

Founders or prospective founders who are immigrants and are trying to figure out their visa options. This may also be relevant for founders who are looking to support other key executives through the visa process too.
