yarn club: crochet 101 series
the art of crochet is a practice that teaches us how to slow down and be present in every stitch. welcome to our first crochet 101 series - slow is sacred! over six weeks Jennifer and Jasmine will lead you through the foundations of crochet, and by the end of our time, you will leave with a custom book sleeve and a lot of new skills! all materials are included!
EARLY BIRD PRICING ENDS 9/7: the total cost of the workshop will increase to 125 the week following.
our yarn club will meet weekly and the schedule is as follows:
week 1 (9/15): meeting the yarn & hooks - welcome to yarn club! during our first session, we will get acclimated with each other and the tools we will be learning over our course.
week 2 (9/22): building stitches - learn the techniques through foundational stitches. through this session you will learn how to move through mistakes and the art of the unravel.
week 3 (9/29): starting the book sleeve - the time has come to turn our foundational stitches into our book sleeve. during this session, you will choose what book sleeve you’d like to continue with and start the base.
week 4 (10/6): expanding skills - take this time to review techniques through foundational stitches with Jasmine and Jennifer. in this session you will have the opportunity to learn the granny square and magic circle technique to enhance your skills.
week 5 (10/13): joining & personalizing - learn how to personalize your book sleeve using embroidery, appliqué, and other techniques!
week 6 (10/20): showcase & celebrate - you’ve did it! let’s celebrate trying something new while learning and leaning on each other by sharing keepsakes, taking photos, and showing off our new booksleeve.
homework will be given at the end of each session to continue the practice of the techniques learned during class.
cancellation policy:
lmk tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person with advance notice. please check your calendars to ensure you can make the event. if we need to cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
