Crowdsource Choir: Summer Steam Plant Series
Join the chorus of voices in the Georgetown Steam Plant, a space renowned for its extraordinary acoustics. Experience the rich reverberations and harmonics of this "turbine cathedral," where sound reminds us that all is sacred. Singing here with others is more than just music—it’s a deeply moving and spiritual experience.
At this event, we’ll honor the genius of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys—reimagining their iconic harmonies in a way that invites everyone to be part of the sound. The best way to honor Brian is to keep singing his songs, to keep recreating the beauty he brought into the world.
The Summer Steam Plant Series features monthly gatherings in June, July, and August. Space is limited, and most attendees will be standing, though seating will be available for those who need it.
Come early to explore this National Historic Site, learn about its fascinating industrial past, and see how it has transformed into a vibrant arts space.
