Experiencing The Ingredients of Care: A Gathering for Founders & Future Builders (LA)
Join LightDAO and a curated circle of conscious founders, investors, and next-gen leaders for an evening that goes deeper than conversation—into connection, reflection, and embodied experience.
This isn’t just a salon. It’s a shared ritual designed to reconnect us to ourselves and each other—exploring care as culture, and beauty as a collective practice, not a performance.
✨ What if care wasn’t a routine you outsource, but a way of being you build?
This evening is a multisensory gathering for conscious entrepreneurs, creative leaders, and regenerative investors redefining what it means to lead, build, and relate. Designed for those shaping new paradigms of business, beauty, and belonging, The Ingredients of Care is not a panel, a pitch, or a performance. It’s a collective ritual that invites you to slow down, drop in, and reconnect with the systems—inner and outer—that are here to sustain you.
Together, we’ll explore care as a creative act and regenerative force—not something you consume, but something you cultivate. Through storytelling, sensory immersion, and embodied activations, you’ll remember care as something that moves through you and between you: through the products we choose, the stories we share, and the ways we build with integrity and imagination.
🌱 What You’ll Experience
Ingredients of Care is a sensory and story-driven experience shaped by three unique but aligned approaches to regeneration:
John Goedschalk, who brings plant ingredients and wisdom directly from the Amazon, grounding us in our relationship with nature and honoring the communities who steward the land that makes its way into our products and skin.
Katrina DeAngelis, who is reshaping what beauty and care mean—through reclaiming inner power, rethinking the role of business, and building systems rooted in potential, coherence, and human and economic thriving.
Barbara Ann Michaels, who cultivates care through story, humor, and shared ritual—helping us remember that joy, connection, and celebration are essential to personal and collective well-being.
5:30 arrival, bites, and mingling
6pm facilitated workshop experience
7:30 fireside chat discussion
8pm onwards connecting
Together, we’re weaving these perspectives into an immersive journey that invites you to:
Reconnect to self, nature, and the raw materials that nourish you.
Reclaim your power — explore the shift from outsourcing to insourcing care and validation.
Build honest, embodied connection — step beyond performance and into presence, with yourself and in community.
Transmute challenge into story and story into healing — through humor, vulnerability, and resonance, discover how your life becomes medicine.
Take the experience with you — leave with rituals, questions, and sensory anchors to support how you lead, relate, and care beyond the event.
A co-created experience that reminds us: beauty is not something we buy. It’s something we build together.
🔥 Bonus Fireside: An Intimate Conversation: The Path to Regenerative Impact
The evening will include an intimate fireside chat between John Goedschalk and Katrina DeAngelis, and facilitated by Gautham Dhaliwal, exploring the deeply personal journeys that led them from conventional business models toward conscious capitalism—where purpose transcends profit and all stakeholders thrive.
Conscious capitalism, built on the four pillars of higher purpose, stakeholder orientation, conscious leadership, and conscious culture, believes businesses should serve all stakeholders, not just shareholders. John’s path from corporate finance to building community-owned Amazonian supply chains and Katrina’s work redefining beauty through regenerative capitalism and ecological integrity both exemplify this philosophy in action.
Rather than focusing on strategies or metrics, this conversation will trace the human stories behind their transformations—the moments of reckoning, the shifts in consciousness, and the inner work that guided them toward building businesses that regenerate rather than extract. Together, they’ll explore:
What calls us beyond conventional success?
How do we stay grounded in purpose when the world hasn’t seen what we’re building?
And what does it feel like to create value for communities, planet, and profit simultaneously?

Nourishment provided by The Seed - a beautiful spread with cheese & charcuterie, farmer’s market crudites with pine nut hummus, chicken & caprese sandwiches and a harvest kale salad.
At The Seed, we believe that good food begins long before it reaches the table. It starts in the soil—with the farmers who tend the land, the ecosystems that sustain it, and the values that guide our choices. Our mission is rooted in a deep respect for every part of the process, from how our ingredients are grown to how they bring people together.
We approach each offering with intention: celebrating seasonality, honoring the hands that harvest, and designing experiences that feel both effortless and meaningful. Whether it's a beautifully styled grazing table or a thoughtfully packed picnic box, every detail reflects our commitment to quality, community, and sustainability.
This isn't just about feeding people—it’s about cultivating connection, joy, and a sense of stewardship for the world we share. As we grow, we remain grounded in our purpose: to create food that nourishes not just the body, but the earth and the communities we call home.
