

Health & Life Sciences Partnerships Initiative
Event Overview
The initiative will bring together the health & life science industry, post-secondary institutions, foundations and agnostic sectors, to partner on their R&D pipeline, sponsored research opportunities, and identify aligned research paths. We are excited to announce we have multiple MNEs in health & life sciences who will present on collaboration, commercialization, and aspects of acquisition. The event is organized in collaboration with Alberta Innovates, BioAlberta and MedTech Canada.
The event is open to everyone in the ecosystem.
Goals of the Event
We aspire to create a space to understand and enable partnership pathways with different companies and opportunities; to encourage, build and expand collaborative paths in health, life sciences and agnostic spaces. The event will be aimed at increasing collaborative research.
Target Audience
The audience will include faculty and researchers from across Alberta, the Alberta startups, SME, MNE, not-for-profit sector, support organizations, and healthcare partners at Alberta Health Services.

Location: Azrieli Atrium and Theatres (HSC Building, Foothills Campus)
Sessions
The event will be spread across 3 sessions in one day. They will be broadly classified as follows encompassing subtopics:
Therapeutics - Therapeutics, Drug Discovery, Protein Chemistry & Pathway Studies, Biomaterials, Regenerative Medicine, Immunotherapy, Synthetic and Molecular Biology, Bioprocessing, Cell, and Tissue Engineering, Veterinary Health, Microbiome and Antimicrobial Resistances.
Digital Health, AI ML – VR/AR, AI/ML, Human Computer Interfacing, Apps/software, Imaging Technologies
Medical devices and technologies – Diagnostics, Wearables, Sensors, Detection and Monitoring Devices, Robotics, Prosthetics, Biomechanics, Rehab, Novel Platforms, Veterinary Technologies.
Partnering and Networking
Open networking session, post presentations in the Azrieli Atrium. Industries and attendees will have the opportunity to meet and discuss.
1-on-1 meeting requests can be arranged for registrants registered on or before September 12, 2025. Look out for an email at that time.
