Climate Parties are a series of immersive learning & ecosystem building events curated to enable interdisciplinary solutionists, either already working in or seriously considering a transition to the Climate space, to discover more of their kind across domains and cross-pollinate ideas for collaborative action.
About the event
Most of us rely on labels to tell us what we’re wearing—but how accurate are they? It’s time to challenge assumptions, spark critical conversations, and reveal the environmental and social impacts of material choices.
For our 18th edition, We are joining hands with Fashion Revolution India and CEEW to unravel the hidden stories behind our fabrics and fibers. From textile transparency to material sustainability and the human value chain in between, this event will dive into the impact of what we wear on the people and the planet.
Expect:
1/ A thought-provoking fireside chat featuring experts from the world of fashion, textile science, and policy exploring material transparency, environmental impact, and everything in between. Topped up by a quick quiz!
2/ Exhibits showcased at Bharat Tex, which details the journey of clothing from raw materials to disposal such as life cycle of different materials, from cotton and polyester to emerging alternatives.
3/ An interactive kiosk where participants can check the reality of their clothing's fabric composition vis-a-vis what the label reads! Do it at your own risk for this one may lead to some alarming revelations.
