MASAMI Workshop - Sunday, May 4th
Reflect on your own inner landscape with the artist!
Join artist MASAMI for an intimate, cross-cultural workshop exploring the intersection between personal memory, material, and nature — through gesture, dialogue, and creation. Using recycled materials, participants will learn the artist’s weaving technique and contribute to a large-scale collective artwork.
The pieces created during this session will become part of a large-scale installation in France, as part of MASAMI’s residency with the French contemporary art center Vent des Forêts.
✨ What to expect:
An introduction to the artist’s practice and exhibition Paysages intérieurs
A demonstration of her weaving technique
A guided collective creation session using recycled materials such as electric cables
Conversation and introspection through material and gesture
All created elements will be collected and brought to France to join the final installation
A peaceful and meaningful moment of artistic connection
🎍 About Vent des Forêts:
Located in the heart of the Meuse region in northeast France, Vent des Forêts is an open-air laboratory for contemporary creation. Each year, artists from around the world are invited to work in residence, in close dialogue with local communities and the surrounding natural landscape. MASAMI’s ongoing project bridges these French forest landscapes with urban Tokyo, connecting ecosystems and inner worlds through collective art.

¥3,800 for adults
¥2,500 for kids (ages from 7 to 12) - must be booked with an adult ticket for the accompanying adult.
Includes: workshop, all materials, and 1 café drink
