Tree Planting & Bird Festival - TRCA
Join us and the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) for a special shrub planting event at this year's Spring Bird Festival at Tommy Thompson Park (TTP)! Located on the Toronto Waterfront, the park is Toronto’s largest greenspace and provides critical stopover habitat for migrating birds.
Since this event is led by the TRCA, YOU MUST SIGN UP ON EVENTBRITE. We will be attending the 10AM time slot.
All equipment required for the planting will be provided. A planting demonstration will be delivered by the TRCA.
Please come dressed for the weather. Long pants, sun hat (something with a peak or brim), water bottle are recommended. Closed toed shoes are mandatory.
Location: Look for the Community Planting sign, or visit the Registration booth at the Main Entrance of Tommy Thompson Park, then walk, 100-200m from Main Entrance, on the east side of the Multi-Use Trail.
Parking Lot (free): https://g.co/kgs/NEgpf33 or park along Leslie Street.
“There is none amongst you who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him." (Bukhari)
