unbound: file folder journals / bookbinding for beginners!

​in this workshop, we'll learn the art of bookbinding using beginner techniques for folding papers, binding signatures and using recycled materials to design unique covers and interiors. come with any papers, scraps, stickers you'd like, and leave with a handbound journal!

​meet the artist:

​Taylor Townes, also known as rough draft, is a poet, mixed media artist, fashion designer, and storyteller. During the day, she co-directs Blue Stoop, a literary arts nonprofit serving writers in Philly, and is the Program Coordinator for The Philadelphia Cultural Fund, funding Arts and Culture throughout the city. At night, you can find her building lego kits, daydreaming, workshopping, or napping!
