World Cafe: Hong Kong in foreign eyes 香港的形狀

​Hong Kong is unique in a way that attracts tourists and foreigners from all over the world. Some come for a short getaway, others arrive to study, and many choose to build their careers, start families, and make a living here for years. We wonder: what does Hong Kong look like through their eyes?

​This is a space for exploration, understanding, and expanding our imagination of Hong Kong. If you're a non-local, a tourist, or someone who has been away from Hong Kong for a while, we invite you to join us for a World Café conversation.

​It's located at the ground floor of the iconic "Monster building", loved by tourists and photographers.

​☕ What is World Cafe?

• ​​​World Cafe is a discussion format driven by intentionally crafted questions, designed for 12 or more people to Think Together. 🌎☕️

• ​​​In the process, participants are divided into small groups to discuss a question, and then join a new group to discuss the next one.

• ​​​There will be three rounds, each 15 to 20 minutes.

• ​​​After that, everyone comes together to share what they learned. We'll be able to take home the main ideas, themes, and insights that emerged from the discussions.

​​​📝 What can you expect?

• ​​​7 pm doors open. You can bring your own food and finish it before 7:30pm. Water, coffee and tea are provided.

​​​💰What is the cost?

• ​​​Standard: HKD 120 per person. This includes a $50 shopping voucher, which can be used in-store.
  The venue features over 20 local cultural and sustainable lifestyle brands.
  

• ​​​Supporter: If you wish to support the future of the World Café (where we aim to host at least one event per month), you can opt for flexible pricing, starting at $150.

​​​🏃🏻‍♀️What if I can't arrive by 7 pm?

• ​​​No worries. We understand that work schedules can be fluid sometimes. The first 30 minutes are for us to freshen up and get ready. Kindly arrive before 7:30 p.m. to join the sharing session. ​​​✨ What happens if the event has reached its full capacity (12 people in this case)?

• ​​​You will be placed on the waiting list. If a spot opens up, I’ll reach out to you so you can decide whether you want to join. If no spots become available, a full refund will be issued

​☕ 甚麼是「世界咖啡館」？

• ​世界咖啡館是一種輕鬆、聚焦的討論方式，透過主持人(host)因應主題而設計的三條問題，令參加者對題目有更深入的探討。

• ​第一部分參加者會分成3-4人小組進行討論，每回合15分鐘，每回結束後都會交換組員，互相分享聽到的故事和觀點。

• ​第二部分所有人會圍坐，主持人會引導大家分享啟發，由於參加者在整個過程中都有機會參與分享和聆聽，所以我們可以得出集體智慧。

​📝 活動內容

• ​7 pm 稍息及用餐。你可以攜帶輕食在場地進食，店內有水、咖啡及茶提供。

• ​7:30 pm-9:00 pm 世界咖啡館 第一部分：小組討論

• ​9:00 pm-9:30 pm 世界咖啡館 第二部分：集體智慧

​🏃🏻‍♀️ 如果我晚上 7 點前無法到達怎麼辦？

• ​不用擔心！我們知道工作和交通時間有時並不穩定。活動頭半小時(7pm-7:30pm) 是用餐及稍息的時間，你只需提早與我們溝通，並於晚上7:30前抵達參加「世界咖啡館」部分就可。

​✨ 如果名額已滿 (以此活動為例12人)，仍可以參加嗎？

• ​你仍可報名但會被列入等候名單。如果在活動前有人告知無法出席，我會與您聯繫，以便您決定是否加入。如果沒有空位，會在日內全額退款。
