BTCHACK Hong Kong (Bitcoin Summit edition)

​Ready to become a Bitcoin ecosystem pioneer? 

​We’re kicking off the Bitcoin Summit strong with a 1-day Bitcoin Hackathon for all the aspiring Bitcoin builders in the heart of Hong Kong. 

​Сo-hosted by Midl, an infrastructure for Bitcoin native dApps; Xverse, leading Bitcoin wallet; Draper Dragon, cross-border venture fund for innovative blockchain solutions; and Bitcoin Summit itself, our goal is to bring together the builders who care about open-source Bitcoin development and are ready to showcase the skill in practice. 

​If you’re a non-tech individual on the hunt for aspiring teams, no worries, this is your place to be as well. 

​What to expect?  

​See you on August 27th, from 9AM to 5PM. We have great plans in mind so be ready for: 

• ​Tech challenges for devs, including Bitcoin E2E testing tooling and rune-powered dApp creation (with Midl & Xverse infra);

• ​Live product demos;  

• ​Strong mentor lineup of Bitcoin ecosystem pioneers (Midl, Xverse, Sats Terminal, Waterdrip Ventures, Sats Ventures, etc); 

• ​6,000 USD reward pool for the hackathon winners.

​Hackathon Tracks:

​Bitcoin E2E Testing Tooling:

​Create open-source tooling that streamlines end-to-end testing on Bitcoin. Our example task: spin up a local regtest node, fund wallets from config, and push transactions from midl.js through a one-click UI connected with Xverse.

​Rune-powered Midl x Xverse solidity dApp

​Build any novel Rune dApp that links to Xverse through midl.js and launch it with Midl’s infra quickly and easily. Showcase task: a Rune-based fee-sponsorship app that lets users pay BTC fees with a stable-coin Rune.
