How It Works
Everyone meets at the Rock Garden Picnic Area at 11:00 AM
At the meeting point, you'll choose which activity you prefer:
Join Shad's guided Nature Walk group (Zilker Nature Preserve Loop)
Join the Botanical Garden exploration group
Or stay at the Rock Garden Picnic Area to relax
Groups will depart at 11:15 AM
All groups will eventually return to the Rock Garden Picnic Area
We'll continue gathering at the Rock Garden
Choose Your Adventure
Nature Walk: The Zilker Nature Preserve Loop (1.5 miles, 45-60 minutes) led by Shad. This trail features natural paths with some uneven surfaces and moderate difficulty.
Botanical Exploration: Zilker Botanical Garden visit featuring Japanese gardens, prehistoric plant collections, rose displays, and herb gardens. Please note there is an entry fee ($8 for non-residents, $6 for Austin residents).
Casual Gathering: Simply relax at our basecamp in the Rock Garden area, connecting with others in the shade.
