Beginner Weaving Workshop
Join us for a therapeutic evening of weaving with the ever so talented artist / educator Jessie Young!
Jessie will dive into the basics of tapestry weaving including drafting a design, setting up a loom, sourcing fibers, and different weaving techniques before you weave the night away with hands on support as needed. Leave with a unique decorative woven wall hanging, and the know-how to make many more!
This class is designed for beginners! All materials + warm beverages included and each participant will get to take home their small looms.

About Your Instructor
Jessie Mordine Young (b. England, 1993) is a Brooklyn-based artist who researches, writes about, curates, makes and teaches textile art. Jessie is best known for her project “A Woven Year,” where she created one original artwork each day of 2023. She is part-time faculty at Parsons School of Design at the New School in NYC.
