Join us every Monday night at Abbotsford Badminton Club (ABC) for a vibrant, student-friendly badminton social!
This session is ideal for university students and young professionals, especially those living or studying in the CBD – just one tram ride away on Tram 12!
Whether you're an aspiring competitor or just here for a hit, you’ll find something for you. Expect a mix of fun, high-energy doubles matches, friendly faces, and a welcoming community.

Your host is Adam, a competitive player and international student from Malaysia. He's also a well-known badminton photographer in Melbourne, regularly involved with Badminton Australia, Badminton Victoria, and the Knockout Series, and serves on the board of the University Champions League.
Sparring and challenges are welcome – Adam's always up for a good game!

Every Monday | 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Tickets are required — book online in advance.
Upon arrival, please check in with Adam at the front desk.
🎾 What to Expect
Open to all levels, but note that some regular competition players may join.

Form groups of 4 before stepping onto a court.
High-quality feather shuttles provided. (BYO racket.)
Expect a relaxed but active atmosphere with lots of laughs.
📌 Rules & Tips
Games played to 21 points (standard doubles rules).
No continuous play – please rotate off after each game so everyone gets a turn.
Non-marking shoes and proper sportswear required.
First time? Say hi to Adam – he’ll help you get started and introduce you to others.
🔄 Shuttle Policy (Please Read Carefully)
Only ask for a new shuttle if the current one is broken (e.g. feathers snapped).
Frayed or slightly worn shuttles are still fine for use.
No new shuttles for warm-up – let’s keep things sustainable.
Please ask Adam directly if you genuinely need a new one.
