2025 Chevron Houston Marathon & Aramco Half Marathon Race
Come join Team Bee Abled in the 2025 Chevron Houston Marathon & Aramco Half Marathon!
This race is super fun and will take place on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at George R Brown (GRB) Convention Center.
ATHLETES: If you wish to participate, please RSVP in Luma so we can get you registered. Athletes MUST wear their Bee Abled gear in order to receive sponsorship. There is currently a cap on the AWD group. For the wheeler categories of 50 participants total (push rim and handcycle combined). The handcycle division is currently full. There is a waiting list again this year. It will be first come, first serve. If Bee Abled sponsors this race and are you are a "no show" you MUST reimburse Bee Abled back for the race fee: Chevron Houston Marathon - $186.37, Aramco Half Marathon - $154.42.
GUIDES: If you wish to be a walking or running, please RSVP in Luma so we can get you registered. Guides MUST wear their Bee Abled gear.
VOLUNTEERS: If you wish to volunteer, please RSVP in Luma. More information will follow.
DATE/TIME: Sunday, January 19, 2025 - Start at Congress & Fannin
o by 5:30 AM – Arrival time PLEASE BE ON TIME!
o 6:35 AM – Marathon & Half Marathon Wheelchair Start
o 6:55 AM – Marathon & Half Marathon Start
The start time for the wheelers is being moved up 15 minutes to 6:35AM and main start to 6:55AM due to ABC broadcast times. This is an earlier start time than before!
With road closures and expected traffic congestion, please plan accordingly.
SAFETY RULES:
The use of headphones is strongly discouraged. (For ALL participants)
All wheelers MUST wear a hard-shelled helmet at all times while on the racecourse.
No drafting, tailgating, or otherwise unsportsmanlike behavior will be allowed.
Please always be cognizant of foot runners around you. Maintain control of your chair, especially when going downhill and especially in crowds. Reckless behavior can get you and others hurt.
